Design
Michael Munday's graphic design experience covers a wide range of applications. He produces corporate identity design for businesses and public sector organisations; identities, publicity and reports for academic and research programmes; branding and campaigns for local authorities, and for arts organisations.
He also designs CD & record sleeves, posters, publicity and identity for people in the music business; book-jackets, leaflets, posters and exhibitions.
Michael's work is founded on strong and readable typography and a love of ideas and imagery. He is often involved in developing concepts and copylines.
He brings to his design approach long experience as a successful illustrator, often incorporating drawn images in memorable design solutions.
Illustration
As an illustrator, Michael has been commissioned by clients such as British Airways, Sainsbury's, Marks & Spencer, Boots, HM Government, Transport for London, Penguin Books, Longmans, Independent on Sunday, the Observer amongst other magazines.... and hundreds of illustrations for Radio Times.
His style is characterised by a bold use of line, colour and shape, informed by a wry wit. His current work builds on traditional drawing, digitally transformed into a strong modern style.
